Two Student Wellness Advocacy Group members, Ava Chism and Dakota Bass, spoke at the State Capitol on Tuesday, Oct. 15th for the "Message of Hope" event organized by Arkansas Children's Hospital. Two additional members, Clara Standridge and Elly Merriman, attended in support of the message and all SWAG students visited the informational booths provided by Arkansas AWARE, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and the Arkansas Crisis Center to obtain information and resources to share with peers through their advocacy efforts this year.

Yesterday the seniors participated in the American College Application Campaign. Each student applied to at least one technical, trade, and/or college institution, then enjoyed a potluck lunch with teachers and staff to celebrate this first step toward their post-graduate dreams! We are so proud of the class of 2025!

On Monday, our class had the incredible opportunity to welcome Kim Beavers and Miranda Bradley from Baxter Health! They shared invaluable insights on the hiring process, professionalism in the workplace, and the importance of proper attire and attitude.
A fun highlight? They even discussed "getting fired before you get hired"—a crucial lesson for future healthcare professionals!

On Monday, Hunter Raley competed in the 3A state golf match at Cooper’s Hawk Golf Course in Melbourne, Arkansas. This is the 3rd year in a row that Hunter has made it to the state golf tournament. Y-S is so proud of you, Hunter!
It was an exciting day for Mrs. Lynch's Markets & Analytics class! Today, ten students participated in mock interviews with Tera Payne from Arvest Bank, practicing their skills as if applying for a teller position.

Congratulations to the 2024 Y-S Panther Football Homecoming Court! We will celebrate our royalty with festivities beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4th at Panther Stadium. The Panther football game vs. Mayflower will kick off immediately following the ceremony. Come out to support these young ladies and the Panthers!

Members of the Y-S Volleyball Team and Y-S FBLA came together on Friday to participate in the 2024 H2Ozarks Shoreline Cleanup, sponsored by Anchor Pointe Resort! This group worked hard to pick up trash along the shore, making a positive impact on our local community. Afterward, everyone enjoyed pizza and ice cream at Anchor Pointe Restaurant. Thank you to everyone who participated, and thank you to Anchor Pointe for your support!
