Congratulations to our Yellville-Summit FBLA members, Kyla Jackson and Lila Hurley, on an outstanding week at the 2026 FBLA National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas!
We are proud of Kyla for competing in Organizational Leadership and Lila for competing in Future Business Educator. Both students represented our school, community, and state with professionalism, confidence, and Panther Pride!
In addition to competing on the national stage, Kyla and Lila had the opportunity to network with FBLA members from across the country, participate in the annual pin trading tradition, and celebrate our chapter being recognized as a Gold Champion Chapter.
The trip also gave them the chance to experience the rich history and culture of San Antonio. They visited the Alamo, enjoyed a boat ride along the River Walk, explored the Historic Market Square, and sampled some of the city’s great restaurants, including Chart House at the top of the Tower of the Americas.
Experiences like the National Leadership Conference help students develop leadership skills, build professional connections, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who supported these students to make this opportunity possible!
Congratulations again to Kyla, Lila, and our entire FBLA chapter on an incredible year. We are proud of all you have accomplished!

These students have helped make YSMS a better place by consistently demonstrating what it means to be Respectful, Responsible, and Safe. Their positive choices - and the positive choices of so many of our students- are what make Y-S such a special school community.
A big round of applause to Jasmine, Gracelyn, Ayla, and Kenzie, who were randomly selected from Yellville-Summit Middle School’s last quarter PBIS tickets. Each earned a brand-new pair of shoes of their choice!
Congratulations to our winners, and thank you to every student who earned PBIS tickets throughout the year. Your character, kindness, and commitment matter, and we can’t wait to celebrate even more success next year!

Yellville-Summit School District is accepting School Choice applications for the 2026-2027 school year.
Arkansas School Choice gives families the opportunity to apply for their child to attend a public school district outside of the district where they live. This allows parents and guardians to choose the school environment they believe is the best fit for their student’s academic goals, activities, and overall experience.
At Yellville-Summit, we are proud to offer a supportive school community, dedicated staff, and opportunities for students to grow both inside and outside the classroom. We welcome families who are looking to become part of our Panther family!
School Choice applications are due by Monday, June 1, 2026.
For more information, visit https://www.yellvillesummitschools.com/o/yss/page/enrollment-forms or call 870-449-4061.

The Yellville-Summit Middle School was awarded a $1,500 grant by the Twin Lakes Community Foundation to increase opportunities for physical activity for middle school students by installing two permanent disc golf baskets and purchasing associated supplies. Thank you, TLCF, for supporting our students in the pursuit of wellness and lifetime physical activity!

Earlier this spring, students in 3rd, 5th, and 9th grades won the Panthers Change Lives Change Drive in their respective buildings. Last week, they finally received their reward: a half day at the park.
Arvest Bank also provided ice cream and water for the winners. Thank you to Arvest for partnering with Interact Club to make the change drive such a success, and thank you again to all of the students who contributed to such a meaningful cause.
