Our fourth graders had an amazing time during Read Across America Week with a special visit from First Service Bank! Each student was excited to receive a book and a goodie bag to celebrate the joy of reading.
They also recently wrapped up their Dollars and Sense program with a field trip to Arvest Bank. Students enjoyed an informative bank tour followed by a fun trivia game and pizza. A big thank you to Arvest Bank for providing such a meaningful and engaging learning experience for our students!

Thanks to the incredible participation and generosity of our students, staff, and community, we’ve raised $3,968.64 this week for the Y-S Backpack Program! These funds will help provide food for students in our district who need a little extra support.
⭐️⭐️Ms. Stolz, Interact Club Sponsor, wants to give a special shout out to the freshman class for bringing in the most money district-wide. She can't wait to spend a day at the park with you!⭐️⭐️

Yellville-Summit jumped in for a great cause! These “Penguin” Panthers took the plunge on Feb. 28 and raised the most money of any school, earning 1st place while supporting Special Olympics. We are so proud of our students and community for making a difference!

Please congratulate Carter Metcalf on a fantastic achievement! Carter placed 5th out of the 55 amazing spellers at the Arkansas State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 7th! This year’s bee will also be broadcast on Arkansas TV, formerly known as Arkansas PBS, on April 2 at 7 p.m.
We are proud of you, Carter!

Middle school parents and guardians - new location for parent/teacher conferences!

Coach Martin's Physical Computing students have officially finished their cardboard car projects, and the results are amazing! From the early planning stages—researching vehicle ideas and designing diagrams—to building and wiring their cars with switches and motors, students worked through the full engineering process.
These projects challenged students to think creatively, solve problems, and apply what they’ve learned about circuits, design, and teamwork. The finished cars show just how much innovation and effort went into each build.
Great job to all of our students for their hard work and creativity! 👏 We’re proud of the engineering and perseverance you showed throughout this project.

Ms. Simons' Biology students were busy investigating the invisible magic of photosynthesis. To see it in action, we used Elodea (a common aquatic plant) and Bromothymol Blue (BTB)—a special indicator that changes color based on the amount of carbon dioxide present in the water.
By observing the BTB shift back to a vibrant blue as the plants absorbed carbon dioxide and released oxygen, we were able to see the evidence of gas exchange happening right before our eyes. It was incredible to watch these aquatic plants prove they are powerful little oxygen-producing factories!

Parents will still have the opportunity to visit with teachers from 1:30–7:30 PM in Panther Pavilion.
In addition, we will be hosting grade-level parent meetings in the High School Library to share updates about new diplomas and course opportunities for our students and provide reminders about the wonderful programs and supports we already have in place. Please use the high school entrance at the student gravel parking lot.
Please see the times for each grade level below. We hope you’ll join us and take advantage of both opportunities!
We look forward to seeing you there!
