Congratulations to seniors Canaan Darnell and Abbigail Holmes on being selected to attend the 2026 Arkansas Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock!

This honor recognizes two graduating seniors from each high school who best represent outstanding academic achievement. We are proud of Canaan and Abbigail for their hard work, dedication, and excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

A huge THANK YOU to our Y-S Elementary PTO for purchasing awesome prizes for our 3rd & 4th grade ATLAS Testing Reward Drawing!

Students earned entries into the drawings for each test they worked hard on during state testing. We are so proud of the effort, determination, and positive attitudes our students showed throughout testing season! 💚🖤

The PTO loves celebrating and encouraging our students, and these fun prizes were a great way to reward all their hard work.

This year, we celebrate nine incredible retirees whose years of dedication, hard work, and care have helped shape our district and the lives of countless students.

From classrooms to cafeterias, offices to administration, each of these individuals has left a lasting impact on our schools and community. We are so grateful for their years of service, the relationships they’ve built, and the difference they’ve made every single day.

The Yellville-Summit Middle School was awarded a $1,500 grant by the Twin Lakes Community Foundation to increase opportunities for physical activity for middle school students by installing two permanent disc golf baskets and purchasing associated supplies. Thank you, TLCF, for supporting our students in the pursuit of wellness and lifetime physical activity!

Earlier this spring, students in 3rd, 5th, and 9th grades won the Panthers Change Lives Change Drive in their respective buildings. Last week, they finally received their reward: a half day at the park.

Arvest Bank also provided ice cream and water for the winners. Thank you to Arvest for partnering with Interact Club to make the change drive such a success, and thank you again to all of the students who contributed to such a meaningful cause.

A big congratulations to 3rd Quarter Shoe Winners at Yellville-Summit Middle School! Loki, Captain, Andrew, and Emry were randomly selected from their grade level PBIS tickets and each earned a brand new pair of shoes of their choice! FCCLA Fundraiser: "Kiss a Senior/Retiree Goodbye"

Order forms were sent home with elementary students, middle school students, and seniors, plus are also located in all of the offices.

FCCLA hopes this is a fun way for you to celebrate our seniors and retirees, as well as support our FCCLA students as they get a jump start preparing for Nationals in Washington, D.C.

2025-2026 YS FFA Chapter Officers Elly Merriman and Cooper Craighead were awarded the highest FFA Degree at the 99th State FFA Convention in Hot Springs on Wednesday April 22nd. This award is given to a select group of members that have met very specific demonstrated requirements including work in Ag classes, outside of school projects and service, and leadership within our chapter functions.

We are so very proud of these members!

The Yellville-Summit Trap team competed in a local tournament, hosted by Fred Berry Conservation Center, on April 4th. Eldren Foret placed 1st overall and Trinity Story placed 3rd overall. Our Jr squad placed first in their division and the Sr squad placed 2nd.
