Y-S was excited to have Flippin and Cotter School Districts on our campus this morning! We all participated in a Safety Presentation by Andy Arnold from I Love U Guys Foundation!
The collaboration among the three schools highlights a shared commitment to creating a safe learning environment for all students. The event was well-received by attendees, who left with a deeper understanding of the protocols and a renewed focus on school safety.

Join us from 5-7 PM to meet your teachers, reconnect with friends, and get ready for an amazing school year ahead. We’re excited to see our Panther families!
We want to kick the class of 2025 senior year off with some helpful information! There will be a mandatory senior meeting August 8th at 6pm in the elementary cafeteria. We will have dinner available for everyone! We ask that parents/guardians and the senior are the only ones who attend. We have limited space and want to be able to accommodate the entire senior class.
We are excited to share that Yellville-Summit School District is continuing to support our students and families by offering:
🐾 Free breakfast and lunch for all students - ensuring everyone starts the day nourished and ready to learn.
🐾 Free school supplies for all students (just bring a backpack and water bottle) - making sure everyone has what they need to succeed.
🐾 Our annual Back to School Bash on August 12 - a fun-filled event to kick off the new school year. More info to come!
🐾 Free before and after school care - giving parents peace of mind and students a safe, engaging environment beyond school hours.

The Y-S Athletic Department will have an important parent meeting on Tuesday, August 6 at 6:00 p.m. in Panther Pavilion. This will include:
1) the importance of sportsmanship and the rules set forth by the Arkansas Activities Association and supported by Yellville-Summit
2) the importance of hydration, rest and the signs of Heat Illness
3) the opportunity for 7th grade parents to set up required accounts for you and your athlete on Dragonfly
Parents and guardians, come out and visit with our coaches and help us get the 2024-25 athletic season off to a good start!
The 45th session of Arkansas Governor’s School is in session at Arkansas Tech. Rising Seniors Elizabeth Smith and Mason Quinn were accepted into the Drama and Instrumental Music programs. Just under 400 students were selected into this year’s cohort. They’ve just finished up their first week of studying their content areas, social and leadership development areas.
Way to go Elizabeth and Mason!
Let’s celebrate these middle school students! They won new shoes, of their choice, in the final middle school ticket drawing in May. It took a bit to get all the shoes delivered, but we are celebrating all the same!

Attention incoming 9th-12th grade students!
Come by the high school office for a schedule review July 22-25 from 9-11 a.m. If you cannot review your schedule during this time frame, schedules will be available at Open House. Changes will not be made via email or phone.
New student registration will take place on July 31, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Panther Pavilion (the new gym). Please bring your student's birth certificate, social security card, and shot records. We are excited to welcome new students to our Panther family!

There will be a school board meeting on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Central Office Conference Room (basement). Meetings are held in the Central Office (basement) Conference Room at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd Monday of each month unless otherwise posted on the school website with prior notice of change.
