Winner winner. Y-S Middle School recognizes students doing the right thing with tickets. Random drawings for small fun things happen throughout the school year, but at the end of the quarter four tickets are drawn for a coveted prize - going to the principal's office and ordering online whatever shoes the student chooses (Purchased by an anonymous donor). Congratulations to our first quarter winners: Tatum, Jared, Liam, and Cannon (pictured)! Tickets are earned by middle schoolers meeting and exceeding the behavior expectations on the matrix also pictured. YSMS staff and students worked together the beginning of the year to develop this matrix.

Wishing the Mario Kart Esports team luck in their match against Bentonville in the second round of the Playoffs today at 4:00!

Elementary students began the day gathered around the flagpole to say the Pledge of Allegiance, joined by the high school choir singing the National Anthem. Special thanks to 4th grader Kenzie Jackson, who gave a short speech honoring all of veterans.
Middle and high school students attended the annual Veterans Day assembly where they had the privilege of hearing Coach Bloomquist speak, watching Coach Rhodes and the student council members honor the attending veterans, and hearing the choir and band perform patriotic pieces. We are grateful to all who served.

There will be forms available at the assembly for veterans to fill out if anyone hasn't been able to get one beforehand.
