Reminder: Students will return to school tomorrow - Tuesday, January 7th! We look forward to seeing you!

Let’s start this year off with another accolade for Coach April Martin! 🎉🥇
We just received the news that she was selected as the 2023-2024 Section 6 Girls Track and Field (Outdoor) Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations! Section 6 consists of five states including Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Oklahoma.
In his letter with the news of her winning, the CEO of NFHS referred to this honor as designating her “status among the most elite coaches” and confirmed Coach Martin as the “most deserving recipient” as chosen by the NFHS Coaches Association Advisory Committee.
As our Lady Panther track team completed their 4th consecutive Class AA State Championship last May, Coach Martin was named the 2A-1 Conference Coach of the Year. Then, in early June, she received news that she was the Arkansas Democrat Gazette All-Arkansas Preps Coach of the Year. Later that same month, she was awarded the Arkansas High School Coaches Association Outstanding Track Coach of the Year! Let’s just say, 2024 was good to Coach Martin!
Coach Martin, we are so happy that your hard work, commitment to our athletes, and excellence in competition is being recognized not only in our conference, but also statewide and, now, nationally! We are so proud of you! 💚

Our Middle School Panther Print is ready for your viewing. It is done completely by 5th graders under the supervision of their teacher, Mr. Sperry.

Winner winner. Y-S Middle School recognizes students doing the right thing with tickets. Random drawings for small fun things happen throughout the school year, but at the end of the quarter four tickets are drawn for a coveted prize - going to the principal's office and ordering online whatever shoes the student chooses (Purchased by an anonymous donor). Congratulations to our first quarter winners: Tatum, Jared, Liam, and Cannon (pictured)! Tickets are earned by middle schoolers meeting and exceeding the behavior expectations on the matrix also pictured. YSMS staff and students worked together the beginning of the year to develop this matrix.

Wishing the Mario Kart Esports team luck in their match against Bentonville in the second round of the Playoffs today at 4:00!
