Mrs. Tera Payne from Arvest Bank visited Yellville-Summit High School to conduct mock interviews with Mrs. Lynch’s upper-level business students. Students interviewed as if applying for a teller position and then received personalized, professional feedback from Mrs. Payne on how to elevate their interviewing skills.

Pictured are Mrs. Payne and junior Jonah Sutterfield, who had the opportunity to interview with her for the second year in a row. Mrs. Payne also works with Jonah’s mother, Cindy, at Arvest Bank—a fun connection that made the experience even more memorable. Jonah shared, “It was a great experience. The interview process was awesome!”

Yellville-Summit High School is grateful to Mrs. Payne for sharing her time and expertise. This event is a highlight each year for the Y-S business program, and we truly appreciate the partnership with Arvest Bank in preparing our students for future success.

The Yellville Preschool is accepting clothing and coat donations in Preschool sizes 3T–Kids XS. Drop off donations at the Preschool between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Thank you for your support!

Students from Y-S attended a Build a Skill and Career Day at Mt Judea on Thursday, Oct. 23rd. Students visited stations on how to write checks, tie a tie, change oil, and change a tire. Students were also able to visit with industry partners about job applications and qualifications in a variety of fields. See the flyer attached for a list of industry partners that attended.

Y-S Elementary Fall Carnival was a huge success! Thank you to all the families, teachers, volunteers, and community members who came out to make it such a fun and festive evening! FCCLA is holding a Food Drive to benefit the Backpack Program and The Call. This will be going on from October 20 to November 7th. Please have your students take their items to their homeroom/WIN/PACE classes to get their items counted toward the competition!
